Nice trail with some steep declines and inclines. Amazing views esp during fall time. Good amount of parking.

Trail is straightforward, in good condition and easy to walk, albeit with a significant slope up to the rock. Views are amazing, especially fall colours

We loved this trail! Not too easy, not too hard. It starts off as a smooth uphill, reaches the lookout with a wonderful view of Rock Lake. The final leg of the trail is a steep downhill but it has stairs so it’s fine. The worst part was that the last leg was very muddy.

A nice hiking trail with gorgeous views even on a cloudy day. We are novice hikers but managed to finish it in a bit more than 3 hours, with quite a few stops for photos and snacks. The hike up was quite challenging with much of the paths covered in mud but the views from the lookouts were totally worth a try.

We try to do this trail every year, a real gem of the park! We stick to the traditional route entering through the entrance, although we notice many people enter through the exit as it’s an easier climb to the peak with a wood staircase to aid the ascent. It took us 1h 35min to complete the trail this year walking quickly and stopping briefly at the top for photos. It’s a bit of a steep incline to the top but very doable. Once at the lookout above you can see the beauty of the park for miles! A great spot to stop, have a snack and enjoy the beautiful fall colours. Additionally, the exit of the trail is very easy to navigate as it’s relaxing walk along a beautiful beach shoreline. We will continue to do this trail every year as it gives us the best bang for our buck. Shorter and easier to navigate than Centennial Ridges with one of the best views in the park as your payoff.

3.5 stars. When I was there parking was terrible. The trails, when wet are muddy so dress appropriately. The boardwalks need to be redone as nails are sticking up. Lots of ppl, steep sections, GREAT lookout though. Also has a brochure and posts with information about the area. Pretty interesting. If active 1-2hrs

Booth’s Rock Trail is an awesome hiking trail full of lovely sights and lots of history! It is a bit of a challenge given the distance and the elevation climb, but for those who try it, won’t be disappointed. The view you climb to alone is worth the exercise and sweat. There are beautiful trilliums along the way if you go at the right time of season and plenty of mushrooms to see. Definitely keep dogs and kids away from the cliff as it is dangerous. There is a clear warning at the beginning of this trail. On your way down, you’ll go by what used to be the Barclay Estate. The beautiful walk along the lake is on an old rail road path, followed by a small little beach & along side a gorgeous marshy area. I’m looking forward to coming back and revisiting this trail again and again.

Out of all the trails in Algonquin, I believe this has the best views. It is a pretty easy hike. Very limited parking. I went early morning when no one was there. But when we came back from the hike the parking lot was packed af. Recommend everyone to do this hike, but come early because it gets packed in the afternoon. Maybe evening times it would be less packed as well.
